Hey guys. I am going to Switzerland this summer and obviously have to fly. I always get very, very sick on transatlantic flights because of the night flight and the jet-lag (I don't sleep on planes at all). And since I will have to drive 2 hours from GVA to my mom's hometown (since I'm traveling alone) I'd much rather take a day flight if possible.
I know the only day flights from New York go to England, and while I checked the usual low-fare website, I don't know what other LCC's there are out there. So, for any of you English lads, or anyone else who may know of a good LCC that flies to GVA from a destination served from NY late at night, do I have any options? I know the day flights usually get to England around 8PM, and the latest I found is a flight from LHR to GVA at 7:30 with BA, but there would be no way to make that. I would not be able to spend a nite in England, unless I slept in LHR or a hotel VERY close by that would cost less than 30 pounds a night.
I'd rather fly to GVA, but BSL, ZRH, or even Bern would work just as well. I'd also love to spend less than 1,500 dollars if possible. Otherwise I'd go with MaxJet and sleep all nite, because in that case I'm pretty sure I could get some adequate shut-eye. Also, airline is of no preference, since LX has been with so many partners that I know have mileage with almost every airline alliance out there (exaggeration, I know).
Thanks a million, guys!

Stephen. The price is perfect, but not the dates. That's where my problem comes in. Don't airlines charge you MUCH more for staying more than 30 days? My travel dates are JFK-GVA on May 29th, and return on August 15th. Will that cost me a fortune more? Also, what hotel is it and where did you book it?
Thanks, though. That seems to be what I'm looking for if the price stays the same. Also, any idea whether the plane ticket would change if I were to wait a month to book it? Or should I book it now?

Thanks JBLU, there's one minor issue with that, though. If my objective is not to lose sleep, then getting to the hotel at 9PM and having to get up at 2:30 doesn't help much, haha. Although, that DOES get me a great variety of flights. Also, I could just fly to ZRH and take the train to where I'm going, it's the same train time as from GVA. And, it would be cheaper. And, there might be a later flight from LHR to ZRH!
Thanks for everyone's input. I love having options. I'll look into everything.
