I will be in SEA from about 7:15 a.m. 4/21 to 6 a.m. 4/24. I want to get down to Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, OR. I won't have the time to drive, because my main priority is to visit the Future of Flight and Boeing facilities; maybe see family if time permits.
Oh, great sponge of aviation knowledge and know-how, can you spare but a drop of your essence to quench my insatiable thirst?
In other words, how the hell can I get from SEA to McMinnville via air? Regionals?

I went down to visit the Evergreen Aviation Museum back in January 2003, and it was a great museum. I can't help you too much about trying to get down there, as I went on a chartered bus, but I definetly recommend that you go, as the Spruce Goose is quite a sight to see!

You could take the train from Seattle to Portland and then hop a bus from there to McMinnville. The bus station is right accross the street from the Union Station.
Perhaps you could contact Evergreen Aviation which is based McMinnville. You never know, maybe you can hitch a ride from Seattle to the airport there.
Driving seems most realistic though. Depending on where in the Seattle area you relatives live you should be able to make the drive in 4-5 hours if you can avoid rush hour in both Seattle and Portland. Leave Seattle at 9.30 arrive McMinnville at 13.30. Stay in that area until about 6pm and you're back in Seattle at 10pm.
