Best Way From UK To RDU (or Charlotte)?

I thought some of you US aviation experts could help me with the best way to get from BHX to RDU or Charlotte in late July/August? Failing that from London. I thought BA did LGW - RDU, but no more... Any help really appreciated. Craig

Continental makes the run connecting in EWR using a 752 transatlantic. The connection looks to be a CRJ on COEX into either RDU or CLT. I took 27JUL-3AUG as an example.. looks like CLT is the cheaper of the two to fly into.

I believe AA does RDU-LGW. AA departs LGW at 1:00 PM and scheduled to arrive at 4:20 PM with the returning leaving at 6:45 PM arriving at 7:05 AM.

So maybe a flight to Gatwick from BHX?

Thanks - no flights out of BHX to London - it is not far enough. Continental do BHX-EWR which is an option with a connection - also BRS-EWR.

I'd give a look at Continental from BHX to CLT-- I think they are offering up some pretty good prices right now. RDU is about $100 more it seems. 757-200 to EWR, connecting to an ERJ whether you fly to CLT or RDU.

Enjoy the trip!

Or there is always US with a hub at CLT.

Thanks guys - good to know I was along the right lines. Its not actually for me, but by-the-by, I am taking BA Connect MAN-MAD in August on an Embraer and they look very small indeed. Sort of a turbo-prop size with proper engines. Craig

If you've never been on one before the size is a bit shocking at first-- but they are actually my preferred plane to fly on-- I just love them!! Smooth, quiet, powerful little beasts...
