i don't think it's one of those liveries that I would get all excited about; but it certainly isn't the ugliest. Just plain. To be honest with you, that green shading is kind of cool.

It's a dare devil of a government!! But there are worst liveries flying around (the French government). This Taiwan-one used colours (maybe the president is colour- and emotionally blind).

I think you all are missing the point. Its part of a very clever marketing scheme: "Fly the Ugliest Planes on the Planet"!

The green looks like the fiberglass pool my mom had in her backyard or the baptistery in our church here in Sao Paulo!! We hated the color so much, we painted it!

Quoting YLWbased (Thread starter): here comes the brand new B737-800 Taiwanese Presidential Plane.
That BBJII, if it's the same plane, used to have a rather conservative color scheme. And being around since as early as 2001, it's hardly brand new. Only the livery might qualify as new.

This livery is actually sort of cool. I like the colors.
Chinese usually do not show great originality when it comes to designing liveries, logos, corporate identity and even names (gloden deer that, golden deer this )

While I agree that it is a horrible choice of colors, I think that 99% of the liveries in the CIS would qualify as worse.
WDBRR: I hate that color green, reminds me of the scrubs they wear in the hospitals. It's a very dated color.
OwlEye: Mmmmm, I cannot believe this is an original picture. Does the green belly really make a gradient towards white. No way this picture is badly photoshop
Scalebuilder: I am sitting here asking the same question. It almost looks as though that the plane has not received its final paintjob yet. Could that be possible?
Oroka: That is not really fair, that was a experiment in economics, not a concept livery. If AC all of a sudden discovered the removal of the paint saved a
Sunandan: Sorry to disagree with you guys... but I think that plane looks good... any 737-800 with winglets has to be amongst the most beautiful planes ever! An
GQfluffy: I'm almost tempted to say its all shadowing and that the plane is actually white. Keyword: almost...
YYZflyer: That is the worst livery I have ever seen. The green ruins it completely
Redneckslim: Go to Africa..... and you will see some of the damn-est color combos you can puke at! As long as it has watermelon red/green in it and lots of black a
Jetpixx: Here are the two ugliest liveries as far as I am concerned... I am sure all of the Peter Max lovers will argue with me - and even attack me - but that
Rolfen: I thought the same thing: I though these shades of bright green are actually the shadow, the picture overall having a green cue to it. Maybe it was n
Scalebuilder: Rolfen: You know what? That mint green is as mint green as the ice cream cone I had at Baskin Robbins yesterday. There is no question about the color

Aeroflot777: I agree, I don't know what all the hype is about. Looks pretty aweful to me... Aeroflot777
MIA767: Hmmm worst livery there is? As of today I'm going to say Air India's especially on the 747 but to me the baddest looking livery ever has to be Aeroflo
ODwyerPW: The peppermint greenish color on the under belly makes it nearly invisible looking up at it from the ground. Not a bad idea for a Presidential Plane t
Cgagn: I agree also, Peter Max has never done anything for me. However, I don't mind the Southwest colours, they are way better than the old colours. I saw
ANITIX87: Looks like we know where United got their newest livery from! haha, I don't know if that's actually the case, just looks similar to me... TIS
Skaggs: This is my favorite 'livery'. I saw this sitting in the sun and my jaw dropped. It looks AWESOME in person. [Edited 2006-04-09 23:42:48]
CRGsFuture: That isn't one of the worst. It's different but its not ugly.
Braybuddy: At least two guys on here have it right! Look at the picture again: the mint green colour is also on the winglets, and it is obviously a trick of the
Funby: Yeah I cant get into it either. Its not horrible, but doesn't get me excited at all.
Wants2fly: The official color of Democratic Progressive Party, which the President of Taiwan belongs to, is green. That is the main reason for the green. I agree
Foppishbum: DANG!!!...this is embarrassing. that thing is ugly!! i'd rather see the presidential plane in china airlines' livery. =| i swear, the person who desig
Braybuddy: How come so many people are fooled by this pic?
N754PR: China have great schemes, one of the few places you can find some good cheatlines. Not sure what China has to do with Taiwan's Presidential aircraft.
GQfluffy: Taking the words right out of my mouth. To me, like you said, the nose gives it all away...
Rejuvenated: Completely agree. Totaly disgusting just to look at it.
BA747YYZ: Pretty ugly, i'd be ashamed to be the president or Tiwanese
Loggat: The nose is obviously mint green with the sun shining off of it. If you can't see the mint green, you need to get your eyes checked.
FlyboyOz: It reminded me of "re-design" old China Airlines' livery! Look at the taiwanese flag and cheatline.[Edited 2006-04-10 02:54:22]
Mir: I don't think we're being fooled by it. That's way too drastic to be an optical illusion or a camera problem. Yeah, the nose does look a bit wierd, b

PIA777: I must agree, that is some nasty color combo. PIA777
Jafa39: Reminds me of a strange green plastic toy car I had back in the '60's, different, but then so is taking a crap with your trousers still up!!
Nonfirm: That color combo does not work very well.If i was the person who came up with that i would not tell anyone
M404: As a few posters have tried to tell you, this color green is the new party in power. Go to this link and scroll down to flag carried by youth - same g
YLWbased: for those who thinks that the pic has been photoshoped, here's the answer - NO!!!!! Green is the Party Colour of the current taiwanese government.
Viper911: i Agree this is the worst Livery ever, what are those colors!!!!
3MilesToWRO: This Taiwanese plane looks quite qood. The colored belt could be finished better on the bow, it should split white from green completly, or whole plan
OwlEye: Some Taiwanese greenish government colours here: http://english.www.gov.tw/e-Gov/index.jsp

Raffik: I think the Travel Service livery is quite smart actually- colours that compliment eachother and not over the top...
MOW: Taiwan has another example of awful aircraft colour scheme - Eva Air. Just have a look! http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1024004/M http://www.airlin
Philhyde: That's the thing about 'Peter Max' - you either love it or hate it. Say what you want about WN, but considering that they are one of the most success
HAWK21M: I wonder why they chose this Livery,Especially for A VVIP. The Colour choice looks bad. regds MEL
DEVILFISH: Could be a junior party member trying to earn points with the boss. The scheme without the pale green would have been more pleasing, especially since
