Hi there everyone,

I just was looking through my own profile to see if I had missed updating it with aircraft that I have flown. Just recently, the 737-300 was added to that list. But then I realized that although I have already flown the Airbus A310-300, it was almost 16 years ago (May 1990). That flight was on a Canadi>n Airlines flight YVR-YYZ, with the Wardair livery and Canadi>n titles at the front. Even the honey roasted peanuts were still from Wardair. That aircraft is most likely flying with the Canadian Forces now.

On April 23rd I will be flying an A310-300 for the first time almost 16 years to the date of my last flight on the type. I will be flying Air Transat YYZ-GLA-MAN.

Does anyone else have a similar story, with a very long gap between flying a certain aircraft type (with many other flights in between)?

My longest gap was two years, 11/2003 - 11/2005 between 757-200 trips, both on NW. (Last flight before the gap was DCA-MSP on 11/9/2003, and the first flight after the gap was PHX-MSP on 11/24/2005) Since I've only been flying for just over five years, this two-year gap is significantly long.

The longest gap I can think of is

Ansett Boeing 737-300 AN91 ADL-DRW January 1995 (sorry no rego)

my next 737 flight after that was

Qantas Boeing 737-300 QF1028 BNE-MKY August 2005 VH-TAK

10 years and 7 months

although my last flight on a 767 was

Qantas Boeing 767-300ER QF62 SIN-DRW February 1994 (no rego)

So if I ever fly on a 767 again theres still a few around here for now so its a good chance I will It will be 12 years +.

I flew on a 737-200 once on WN they since then retired them...

Ive also only flew on F9 once on their A319s

For the 737-700 with winglets on WN was a one year gap. 2005 then 2006

Flying on the 737-300 in 1999 then again in 2005 both WN

Then last but not least flying on an AA MD-80 in 2002 then again in 2004

Interesting to think about.

Not sure but I think it could be this:
04AUG89 LX911 LUG-ZRH on a Saab 340
25NOV00 SN4086 BSL-BRU on a Saab 340 (HB-AKE)
this would be 11 years

The longest gap for me I think would be about nine and a half years:

January 1987, JM019 KIN-JFK
July 1996, JM087 KIN-MBJ
(on 727s)

It is possible that I flew an L1011 in 1976 (between YYZ and YUL), in which case, the longest gap between aircraft type is 16 years almost to the day. I definitely flew an L1011 in 1992:

July 1992 JM017 KIN-JFK
