Hey friends!
My grandma is planning her BOG-CCS-MIA-CCS-BOG trip for xmas on Aeropostal. How are they? Punctual? How is their whole in-flight service? Are they reliable? Somewhere I read they might not be able to fly to the U.S. but that might be a bunch of bs. Anyway, she got the fare for a 3 months stay for US$377 compared to say LA BOG-MIA-BOG which was U.S.$652 or AV BOG-FLL-BOG U.S.$643. Any comments appreciated!

Flown Aeropostal many times--most often from CCS to Margarita in vzla--but a few times from Vzla to MIA.
I have found them punctual--good in flight service---probably won't matter to your grandmother but typically drop dead gorgeous latin girls as f/a-s--very friendly---
They definitely fly to MIA--
Anyway I would have no hesitation flying with them---in fact I do all the time when I go to Vzla

I fly to Vzla from MIA a lot on business but almost always with AA because I am elite AAdvantage---but when I'm there on business I often go out to Margarita Island just for fun--and while there are many carriers that fly CCS to Margarita I always go Aeropostal (pardon the pun)--it's only a 35 minute flight and they still offer a beverage and food service if you can believe it--ok the food is just a pre-packed snack box but it's a nice touch--
In fairness, I like all the vzlan carriers---Laser, Aserca, LAI, Santa Barbara--others, the names escape me at the moment--but they are all pretty good---Avior--that's another one
I've also flown Aeropostal in country to El Vigia, Barquisimeto and Maracaibo--again all good service
I have flown Aeropostal MIA to Vzla a couple times--once on a 727 and once on a 737--equipment is a bit old but as I say great service and you can't help but fall for those Venezolana stewardesses---they are worth the flight alone--

They are a pretty good carrier. The MIA-CCS portion might be on a plane leased from another carrier and probably older without much entertainment but as stated above the service on most South American carrier is better than you get in the states for sure.
