Hi,

Browsing all new photos here at airliners.net I noticed that some airlines didn't introduce new colour schemes since many years or even decades.

So I'd like to know which airlines need/should introduce new colour schemes on their planes.

Airlines I found with quite old colours are American Airlines and Singapore Airlines although their colours still look great!

Your comments are appreciated...

Chris

I think U2 should definitely change the livery on its planes. Something a little less "cheap" and more classy would make it. And as they're changing the livery they could get new uniforms...........

Air France could also change livery to something smarter. We're probably all bored of the so simple blue title on all white.

HBJZA,

You are right ... Air France may need a change of their colours too.

How about SWISS and Lufthansa ? Compared to other airlines these colours are old fashioned as well.

BA1978

I totally agree, it looks boring and a kind of "not finished painted" as something is still missing.

Looks similar to KLM's new colours which I don't really like.

I think BA should have kept the Landor scheme forever and ever. Those planes looked classy. Going from Landor to World Tail was the worst change I've ever seen. Though I haven't seen that many changes. But it was bad. The current BA scheme is okay, but doesn't compare to Landor. I like Landor. Landor sounds like the name of a Star Wars character/planet/galaxy far far away.

Guys,
theirs some airlines that need a livery change as they are old fasioned..thats a fact.. but you gotta admit that their are some airlines that have almost Iconic schemes... I rue the day AA decide to change its classic Polished silver finish with the proud symbol on its tail...

Swiss, I dont think they need to change their scheme... in the sun it looks really bright and fresh... and in reality they've only worn it a few years.

SQ/LH/AA are great schemes still... classic yet not to the point where it looks out of place on the ramp.

If you want to see an airline who messed with a nice livery and got it wrong..
Look no further than Spearmint AC..I think they could have even kept the classic red colors and just updated them. Although I have to say the nice Dark Green tail and Red leaf were very smart..

me ? Id like to see BA/CX/IB/AT Wearing a different scheme...
Just my 3 cents

Joe

Bestpilot

Landor scheme was really wonderful and classic but I liked BA's world tails as well. Their current scheme is okay but nothing special at all.

About CX colours: Did you like their classic colours (green and white) more than the current one?

Chris7217, I agree with you there, it's not one of my favourites either.

I love older liveries. However, maybe this one could be updated a little.
