Hey, we all know each others fav. aircraft/airline,etc. But i have never seen a thread which asks you guys what your favourite airport in the world is. Lets keep it confined to international airports which have mostly international airports. No domestic, cuz , for example there are a million small airports in the USA which most of us dont know about  Smile.

I mean lets hear which intl. airport you like the best and for what reason. List two airports you like best in order of preference.

I will start:

1. Singapore Changi (SIN): because they have anything you can think of under the sun available at your disposal. Everyone is helpful, and you can sit for hours and hours in the airport and not get bored. Changi has really been a pioneer in the new generation airports.

2. Hongkong International (HKG): Merely because i had a 16 hour lay over there last year and i didnt get bored for even a minute. Infact, by the end of it my eyes were sore from gazing out of the windows. And best of all, i met 4 different people who were A.net members taking photographs of planes. Everything in that airport is photography friendly expect a few hours in the afternoon when the glare just doesnt allow you to take good pictures.

What i missed about both the airports were observation decks. Either they didnt have them, or i didnt find them!

Waiting to hear your fav.

I want every single airport and airplane in India to be on A.net!

I'd say this topic goes in polls&prefs.

But anyway
1. AMS, because the views are awesome
2. ZRH, because there is a lot of choice and it's not too far from where I live
3. GVA, because it's my home airport

INN (beautiful, but few traffic), FRA (never been but is planned!), SXM (never bene either but looks so good), and other places i'd like to go like JFK, LAX, HKG, SIN etc. etc....

It's not about AIRBUS. it's not about BOEING. It's all about the beauty of FLYING.

YVR - The international Arrival area is incredible
LAX - All the different airlines are a treat for someone like me from a town with a small airport
HNL - although old, I love the open air concept and the smells of the tropics when you step out of the plane is awesome.

SIN Does have An observation deck

that's is why its one of my Favs.. I spent 8 hours there in jan waiting for my flight back home, and i came across the sunflower deck great spotting place. and I just loved the atmosphere, and the little forrest with the pond and some benches..

My other fav is CPH not beeing patriotic but the airport is so airy and clean. and the Architecure yum its beautiful.

CGK - I love the gardens you see within the terminals when you arrive and the typical Java look is amazing!
HKG - It's very modern and huge!
SIN - Very clean!
AMS - Home Airport, but I think it's kind off messy and starting to be old fashioned.

Out of the one's I've been to, LPA is by far the best, it's SO well organised and just looks nice, it's not complicated and you can see the whole airfield from departures!

Also then you have my local CWL, which is a fab little airport, we don't have THAT much to boast about but we're forever growing  Smile

But I think the cream of the crop goes to LAS, purely for that amazing approach over the strip! I can't wait for that at the end of the year, it's gonna be amazing!

Variety and Quality

Would love to go to LAX from the photo's I've seen of it !
