No PTVs yet Im afraid, and as far as Im aware, soft drinks are free but alcohol isnt ($5).
If im correct, seat pitch is 31-33".
A meal will be served.

Enjoy your flight.

Kev.

There are only PTVs in F at this time, not in Y. The planes are being sold as all Y TATL until they can be refitted with Biz-E next winter. They should also be equipped with PTVs in Y at that time.

Pitch in Y is standard Econ pitch for DL (IIRC 34").

If you are a Medalion level DL FFer or pay full fare coach Y class, you can book the F seats.

No free alcohol.

Best economy seats are seats 10F and 10G. However, those seats are often reserved as crew rests, so the next best are 33C/D/E.

The 767-400ER is the most comfortable aircraft in Delta's domestic fleet. You will really love the 777-style interior.

They are only being sold as all-Economy on transatlantic flights, and only five aircraft will be reconfigured.

I don't personally see them as any better than the B763s... I don't like the '67s cross section, too narrow for a widebody. lol. They do have newer interiors, which is nice, but no PTVs nor anything special IMO.

Your flight should be decent at the least, though.

Cheers

While the 767-400ERs currently don't have PTVs, their IFE system is better than the current domestic 767-300 IFE. The 767-400ER has ceiling and bulkhead mounted LCD screens. The audio controls are digital with buttons and a mini-LCD display.

The domestic 767-300s have outdated projection screens which have lost their quality. The audio controls are analog dials.

??? Rule of thumb is that a widebody is a twin-aisle aircraft. Yes the cross section is smaller than a DC-10/A330/747, but you also have fewer seats across. UNles you like being stuck in the middle in a 5 seat or even 4 seat middle layout, the 767's friendly 3 middle seat layout is the most comfortable in the sky.

I wasn't aware of the 764's being flown on international routes across the pond.

They are not that bad. I was actually kind of disappointed in their pitch in first class. But hey its delta!

Disappointed? It's 39"...last time I checked that was equal to or greater than the domestic standard.

I know, but it's just one more row than a norrowbody... it's feels weird to me, like an excuse for a widebody (not counting the other characteristics, just the cross-section).

They dropped the ball on the F class in the 764s when they brought them into the fleet. CO has 5 across with much better pitch. I've looked at cashing in some SkyMiles to take the little lady to Hawaii and it would be on CO as they have the better product on that route. If you are lucky enough though to get 7E or 7F they are the pilot rest seats and have 55" of pitch IIRC.

Comparing Delta's 767-400's with Continental's is not a fair comaprison. Continental's 767-400s, both in standard and in Micronesia configuration, are configured for international flights.

A better comparison would be with United's 777-200As, American's A300s, and Continental's/Northwest's 757-300s. Delta's 767-400s really beat AA's A300s and CO/NW's 757-300s, and is comparable to United's 777-200As.

When Delta configures the five 767-400ERs for international flights, then it will be a fair comparison.
