With well over 5000 737's in the order book, I'm sure that most (if not all) of us A.neters have had the opportunity to fly on this model at one time or another. I'm wondering...who can remember their first 737 flight?? Mine was January 1978...United Airlines...ATL - CRW. Any others???

732 US Airways in the early 90s ('91 or '92). It was a two-"fer" that day becuase I flew the 732 from DTW-CLT and then a 734 from CLT-SRQ. A month after that, I flew a 733 from atl-srq aboard DL.

For me, it was on Air Canada.
And I wish it wasn't, because of the horrible flight experience,
I have unfortunately had a distaste for the 737 ever since that trip.
The one condition where I LOVE the 737 is when it's operated by AS.

Summer of 1972(?) or thereabouts, SFO-MRY on a UA 732. Flew in First because the fare was only $14 vs. $11 or something in coach, lol. (Such odd things I remember.) The flight was only long enough to have a 7-UP in a proper glass before landing.
My last flight on a 737 was also on a 732, on DL LGA-CVG last November, almost 35 years later!

My first 737 flight was onboard Air Pacific flight FJ931 from Nadi to Melbourne. That was October 22nd, 2000. I have been on most other 737 flights but this flight takes the cake due to the inflight service that was provided by the cabin crews. They worked the cabin from the moment we took off until the moment we landed! (unlike some that disappear midflight). And i can still remember the lovely cabin smell which was a mixture of tropical flowers and tropical fruits. The aircraft was a 738 with registration DQ-FJG. It didn't have winglets back than and it was still in its old livery.

My first one was a Boeing 737-300 with Freedomair from Hamilton NZ to Coolangatta Qld in April 2000.
Coolangatta (now Gold Coast International Airport) had literally just opened for international service - the terminal was more like a combo shed and tent! Things have now improved considerably.

My first B737 flight was in October 2001 with Excel Airways to Funchal, Madeira. It was on a B737-800 (G-XLAB) and it was a pretty nice flight. I remember experiencing quite a rather firm touchdown at Funchal and being thrown roughly forward into the seat in front of me on the landing rollout.
