Anyone flown on Etihad's A330-200? How is the service like? Does it have PTV's?

The A330's could be either one of three different types; PW. RR or GE. The RR powered 332's are the best as they feature the EY cabin as they are brought new from Airbus recently. The GE and PW powered are leased so will not feature the standard EY cabin, but they will have PTV's.

I've never flown on the RR powered A330's, but the GE's and PW's offer an Ok service!

The 77W's offer the best service  Smile

The RR-powered ones are absolutely lovely.

The GE ones are leased TAM birds and are not very nice.

My friend recently flew the Toronto - Abu Dhabi route via Brussels with Etihad and he very much enjoyed the service. He said he felt pampered the whole way there. The meal was excellent and even a menu was provided.

Actually, the GE powered ones came from SN Brussels, if I'm not mistaken.
The ones that came from TAM are the PW ones (PT-MVD and PT-MVE), and have a decent interior with PTV in all classes. But they don't have AVOD as the newest ones (PT-MVF/G/H/K/L).

Actualy it was Volare Airlines (Prev. Canada 3000) that are GE's, they are A6-EYV/W  Smile

That's right, thanks for the remark.  Wink

The ones that came from TAM are A6-EYA (ex-PT-MVE), A6-EYB (ex-PT-MVD) and A6-EYX (ex-PT-MVA).

Have a look and compare the Business Classes:

Anyone know which aircraft will operate AUH-CMB on 31MAY? Hopefully not one of the older 332's.

Not 100% sure but I don't think the GE A330s have PTVs.

I just flew EY Economy AUH-CMB and SriLankan Business Class CMB-DXB.

EY aircraft did not have PTV' s but the service was quite good.
