For me, the 737-200 is a definite winner. I think it's among three most elegant-looking twinjets ever built (along with the Tu-134 and the 757)

Why are people so against low yields?! If lower yields means more people can travel abroad, i'm all for it

I'd have to go with the 200 series also, great getting that perfect window seat behind the wing. Not to mention I prefer aircraft before stage 3 regs.

900 is grand....rides like the 727 but this actually climbs too! If not the 900, any NG with winglets and the new "no eyebrows" like CO ship 299!!

300 and later 600 and earlier models. The 737 100/200 was a cheap attempt for Boeing to build a DC-9 rival. In the 60's and 70's the 737 was boring compared to the 707 and 727. The 737 NG is giving the 737 to much range and power. Boeing taking a short range jet and trying to make a medium range jet out of it, and that is not my ideal of a good flying. I do not like the ideal of 737 flying cross country or to Hawaii. It fit well as a short range aircraft built in 1980.

-200 without a doubt. The noise, the smoke and sitting behind the wing watching the clam-shell reversers open up made for an impressive 'flying machine'.

The 100 was pretty rockin'. The 700 is probably my fave of the newer varieties.

Definitely the B737 "Classics" (series 300/400/500) for me. They all look and sound great, especially with those low hung engines! Big grin
