Okay, we've had plenty of threads on one's "first flight", how about recalling the last time you flew a classic jetliner. Let's start with the 727.
My last 727 trips were on Delta via SLC over Memorial Day weekend in 2001. Flying PDX-SLC-PHX-SLC-PDX, 3 of the 4 flights were on the 727-200. It seemed every other plane hubbing at SLC back then was still a 727!
Last 727-100 flight was on UA, MCI-LAX-SFO in early 1983.

My last 727 ride was on a DL 727-200 bound for CVG from BDL an my way to TUS for my Feb. vacation to stay at a ranch/hotel. It was N543DA wearing the Ron Allen livery, and the Capt. let me sit in the cockpit after the plane landed at CVG, it was sad to see the 727's go also the 762's, but now we get aircraft like the 767-400 and the 738.
After a two week home-study program in Morelia, Michoacán, México, I flew MLM-LAX.
The flight took off around 8 AM, and looked like the last flight of the day...several flights had taken off earlier (all MX), and one AM TIJ-bound plane arrived and departed while I was still in the airport.
The plane was spotless, and I had a seat on the wing where I could easily see XA-MEL.
I even remembered thinking, "this is probably my last 727 flight!!" - and it was.

My last flight was either 1999 or 2000. Flew United SAN-DEN-TPA, the Tampa leg being the 727 flight. Purposely booked it so I could fly her again and see DIA for the first time. I will miss that beautiful bird forever.

My last flight was on AA in December of 2000, ATL-ORD. It was part of a bizarre routing on AA that went ORD-ATL-MIA and then our return was non-stop MIA-ORD. Never thought I'd make a connection on AA in ATL in 2000!. The ATL-MIA leg was delayed, we were waiting for an FA.
Before that, my last 727 flight was DL, ORD-SLC in 1998. Boy had that old bird seen better days.
