As the 75 th anniversary for Alaska Airlines approaches it has been suggested that one of the 737-800 deliveries for late this year or early next year be painted to a retro scheme. Of the two pictures below what scheme does everyone think would look better on the 737-800.Thanks for the input.

I choose the all white version on the left. I like the simplicity.

What I'd REALLY like to see is the Golden Nugget Jet scheme and one each of the old Alaska Themed Planes . . .

Don't know if a 737-800 could do them justice though . . . there's just something about a 727!

Being in ANC myself, I'd love to see the old '80s livery on a new 737. Reminds me of the days when Alaska service was absolutely sparkling. (sigh) I remember a hot breakfast on flights to Juneau on AS62.

theres another color scheme that you havent mentioned. it was before the golden nugget. it was red and gold, with a bird.

They do look the best on the 727 i dont think the 800 tail would do it justice either.

You don't happen to have larger versions of those, do you? I click on them and it's the same small thumbnail.

While it isn't much of a change from the current livery, I'm a big fan of the last eskimo variant...regardless, I'd love to see an Alaska retro scheme.

I think the white scheme from the DC 3 would look very classy.

They all look awesome, but I was never that fussy about the goldpanner.
I think they should go with something other than a person on the tail,
just for a little change.

Yes, I like this one.
The first Eskimo is also very nice looking, but I can't help but be
a little concerned about how they would look on a 737.
I'm sure they'll look great, no matter what.

I loved the blue and green cheatline livery...it always reminded me of
the National birds. Didn't they at one point in time have a totem pole
(on it's side) or something similar to one near the front doors?

I can't remember too clearly, I was only able to see Alaska jets as
a kid at SFO. They did not fly to SAN or LAX (I believe also) until
the 80's.
