Hello all,

Just returned from Cyprus (lovely and hot) and have to say, First Choice?, more like 'Last Choice', although the food was good and staff were nice, just need a wake up call in the inflight service department, I think youd better say hi to Monarch to see how inflight service is really done, it was a good job I had my ipod and media player with me otherwise bordem would have struck quite easily

Would you care to elaborate a little please?,

I can understand if you were on one of the original Air 2000 757s (G-OOO*) which although have new interiors the entertainment systems along with galley systems are original 1980s, it can make the bar service a nightmare (on busy flights) because of the old bar equipment (designed for that particular aircraft).

If you flew on something newer like our 2000,02,03,04 plate 757s then maybe the IFE wasn't working, which is a bummer but it does happen.

I can't comment much further without knowing what exactly you didn't like about your flight/flights.

Either way, I'm sorry you had a bit of a lame experiance with DP.

It was'nt that bad, they got me there and back OK, but a couple of things to mention

- Dont put on a cr*p film just after take off that no one wants to watch
- After the film, dont put on a cr*p puzzel game, and facts and figures about the plane and other things, nobody was intrested, just completely bored
- Whats the point in selling headphones to passengers that they cant use else where but the plane itself, it just takes the 'mick'
- Oh and the seat pitch was appauling (although most carriers are the same)

The food however was nice!

This doesnt just come from me, there were a few passenegers that felt the same

G-OOBI on the way there, G-OOBE on the return

G-OOBE is our newest made 757.

The films are the same regardless of the type of passenger, Cheaper by the Dozen 2 on the outbound and Big Momma's House 2 on the return, don't forget we are a holiday airline and have films that try to keep the kids amused and quite a few adults as well. Depending on the flight times additional tapes could have been put on (again these are fixed depending on flight times) but would include Top Gear, Two & a Half Men and (unfortunatly) Cathrine Tate. Were the music channels working????

What was your seat numbers, our seat pitch is currently bigger than most if not all competing charter carriers. Some seats won't recline because of bulkheads or exit rows but again thats the same with every carrier.

Sounds more like the passengers on that flight were a bit dull!  Wink

If its any consellation, this happens on many charters...!
