Hi all,
I am planning to take this trip this August, and have layovers in CMN; 21 hours on the way over, and 42 hours on the way back.
-What are your experiences on these flights? Service, food, entertainment, pitch, equipment?
-Any tips on things to do, hotels, restaurants, local wines in CMN? ($100/night rooms, $40 pp dinners, $15 bottles of reds)

TK code shares with RAM on CMN-IST route so you might first want to make sure which airline operates the flight. I check IST arrivals almost everyday and RAM is nearly always delayed by 4 to 7 hours.. So good luck on that one RAM uses 737-700 (I think) and TK uses 737-800. A good 5 hours flight...

CMN is the code for Casablanca in Morocco. RAM is Royal Air Maroc, the national airline of Morocco.
I flew them Paris Agadir on an old generation 737 and really had a good flight, friendly service, nice food. Try to get the exit row seats.
dont know how they are on long haul, nor for transit etc. My flights were on time !

TK787, I hope you will enjoy your time in Morocco and on RAM
I reccomend perhaps flying into RAK (Marrakesh) during you 42 hr layover
There are many daily services between CMN and RAK served by RAM (so can be booked on same ticket), Marrakesh is a wonderful place also
If RAK is a bit far out then CMN is also a nice city, although I'm not as familiar with it as I am with RAK

Nice report by the way.

Thanks, but the only reason for the stopover to break the long flying times. I am more interested to get some rest and a glimpse of a new city.

Royal Air Maroc flight 9400, leaving CMN at 1:30PM is actually operated by A THY B738.
JFK-CMN, AT201 is operated by a B763.
RAM is a good airline. They have an excellent inflight service (you can expect a full hot meal in Y even on CMN-IST),
Though I flew only on ther B744 on long haul, their a/c have a very decent seat pitch, above the average 32" for sure.
Last time I flew them, I was very suprised by the confort of their seat and the pitch on board a B737-700 between ORY and RAK.
