Need Info: Charter Flights Madrid-Larnaca?

I am in need of info regarding charter flights from Madrid to Larnaca for outbound (MAD-LCA) on the 19th (or thereabout) and return (LCA-MAD) on the 26th of June (or thereabout).

I remember that the last time I visited Cyprus, I spotted Spanair aircraft coming into Larnaca on several occasions, which I am assuming were charter flights from Spain. I'm assuming that such flights are still on now that summer is here.

Any info regarding charter flights between Madrid and Larnaca operating around the above dates, which you can share, would be greatly appreciated.  Smile

There are generally very few Spanish tourists in Cyprus for obvious reasons: they can find whatever Cyprus has to offer closer to home. There may be occasional charter flights but the ones I am aware of are to take Cypriot tourists to Palma and perhaps other destinations in Spain. There's very few of these every summer chartered as far as I know by Louis travel. Unfortunately their outbound tourism website is under construction so I couldn't dig out any more info for you. It's also only in Greek so perhaps not very useful for you when it's finished. Another large Cyprus based agency (Aeolos) seems to send its Spain-bound tourists on scheduled flights.

I've never actually seen Spanair aircraft in either LCA or PFO but it is possible that they occasionally fly there. Spanair also code-share on OS's daily LCA-VIE flights but that's a different market segment altogether.

@ Cyba:

Thanks Cyba  Smile

I actually saw a few Spanair MD80s and an A320 when I was on Cyprus in October 2004. I looked up the Spanair website and it seems that they no longer codeshare with OS on the VIE-LCA-VIE sectors.

@ RAFVC10:

Thanks for the info. Good to know.

@ Dogfighter2111:

I looked up the major airlines with scheduled flights into LCA, and MALEV had the best connections and fare  Smile Thanks for highlighting that. I didn't check out EL AL though; RJ's website seems to be somewhat inop, and same thing for MS.

@ RAFVC10:

Do you know on which day the Ajet flight operates? Do you know when this operation starts and till when it's going to last? And do you have the contact info for the agent in Spain by any chance? Thanks a million  Wink

Have a look at www.kuoni.es

Flights are on 17th / 24th / 31st July... I think that's a Monday?

I don't like signatures...
