What are the largest and smallest airports you've been to, based on passenger counts (or aircraft movements - not actual land or terminal area)? My largest was ATL on a DL transfer(which I expect will be a common answer), and my smallest was probably COS (which ironically has a huge land area), where I was O&D with HP.

Largest, Atlanta or Heathrow (I forget which is bigger).
Smallest, Concord, CA (PSA used to fly there).
If you include heliports as airports, Berkeley Marina or Marin on SFO Helicopter would then be the smallest I've visited.

(Actually, the smallest airport I've ever seen would be Rutland, VT, but I didn't fly in or out, just stopped to pick up tourist maps & such.)

My largest are LHR, LAX and JFK. As for my smallest that would be my home airport of Pangborn Memorial (EAT) in Wenatchee, Washington. I love the airport even if we only get 5 daily flights from Seattle all of which are on QX. We used to have UX service back in the late 80's and early 90's, but that really didn't last long.

Smallest: Bora Bora, or Galapagos Islands (Bora Bora on an ATR, Galapagos on a 727)
I've been to many smaller airports while piloting a Cessna 172, but I don't think a grass strip serving GA traffic is what you want here.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
