What are your favorite airports for food, shopping or other amenities?

Many airports are really fixing up their concourse facades but I find everything to be so expensive that I usually avoid just about everything except 'Chick-fil-a' or an occasional candy bar & magazine.

Seattle has really done a good job with their remodel.

Terminal C at EWR is the most impressive I've been in. It has a huge selection of unique shops and places to eat, courtesy of CO contracting with Westfield, the same company that owns many malls across the US and around the world. Another great advantage is that they promise "street pricing"; in other words, the stores aren't allowed to charge more simply because they're in the airport.

The food in Chicago O'hare is beutifull, There is a great selection, not just choice of actual food stuffs but the different cultures of food in the airport, for example, chinese, indian, italian etc. My fav there was the Sweet & Sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce and egg fried rice Big grin

Thanks, Bradley!  Smile

JFK's Terminal 4 has a great food court with a great selection. As for shops my favorite is AMS.

I ate at a great little cafe at NRT. Had a BBQ beef sandwich and a Heiniken, nothing spectacular, but I ate this all while watching Japan Air, KE, UA, and AA heavies coming and going on 16L.

Ok, wait for the RJ to pass, cleared to push tail south Mike, and you're cleared to spin #2 in the push.

I like Concourse B in CVG's Terminal 3. There's a good food court there, as well as a number of good full-service restaurants.

YWG. Street price policy for airport restaurants!!

Aside from this I have found food at other airports to be moderately to outrageously overpriced.

A & W at Singapore Changi before it closed down. That was great.

Surprisingly, I like CLT! Lots of shops clustered in the center of the terminal inside the secure zone, nice food court! Last time there, I ate at Sbarro on Concourse C overlooking the C/D ramp!

I actually like CLT better than ATL for going south!
