Flybe are great. Never flown them myself but my family have and they are first rate. They fly with them all the time and I would go as far as to say that they are one of the best low fares carriers around, on a par with Thomsonfly, BMIBaby and Jet2. I've heard great reports about all those carriers.

The Dash 8 is supposed to be a bit cramped and they are a bit noisier than a jet but for this fairly shrt hop they should be fine.

Don't take my word for it though as I've never flown on either Flybe or the Dash 8. Theyre fairly new though which could be a bonus

Flybe are a good, solid carrier but with sub-par on-time performance.

I didn't find the Dash 8 Q400 to be a pleasurable experience whatsoever; no matter what anyone says they are not quiet! At the very least you do get plenty of room on them and they do feel quite spacious.

I wrote a trip report last year, feel free to read it! Big grin

Flybe had the honour of providing me with A:My first low cost airline flt, and B. My first prop flt.

Really nice planes, love the Q400. Im 6ft3 and found the seating good, i was in the exit row there and back, that may have something to do with it lol.

Crew are amazing, had a laugh with the FA on the way from LPL to EXT.

Cant wait to fly them again
(Planes were noisey, but there props, course they will be. Was ok though)

Amen to that!

IMO they're not bad, but don't be surprised if the flight's delayed (the Q400's are well known for their tech problems round these here parts!) If you're planning on checking baggage in and haven't already paid for it online, expect to pay £5 per piece at check in.  banghead

Also I don't know what you paid for the flight but for a 'low cost' airline they aren't really that low cost for the most part!

I've flown them now 4 times on the DHC4, 146-200 and 300 and found them to be very pleasant, would you care to elaborate on why they are terrible Baguy? I'll agree the Q400 is not that quiet, but if your used to flying on the non Q 300 series then it is considerably better! All my flights have been on time, the crew have been friendly and I've not had to queue at check in once, what more could you want for a LCC on such short flights!
