I am flying LGW-DXB-HKG on Wednesday, my flight arrives at 8pm and departs for HKG at 9 45 am the next day. Any ideas on what to do? I'm sure i can find a late night bar somewhere

If you are booked with Emirates I find it odd that they didn't gave you a room in a hotel included in the flight price. However, spotting and shopping could help!

Next flight: hopefully soon...

In the middle of the night?

Check with EK, even if they did not include a hotel room, they have low cost stop over packages.

I'd get a hotel room and some sleep.

Well i paid £520 for LGW-DXB-HKG-BKK and returning KUL-DXB(2 night stop over)-LGW. I think if i were in J class i may get a hotel, but not on my super websaver ticket!

I like CV580Freak's suggestion!
