YVR - JFK CX Or AC

I might be flying YVR - JFK in September and have two choices:

Cathay Pacific Airways - B744
Air Canada - A319

It think my choice is easy - CX - but how´s the on-time performance for CX coming from HKG via YVR to JFK?

Any specials deals for an one-way in F or C for CX on this "add-on" sector via any travelagency?

Just check Flightaware that should give you a ball park figure, but then again we know things happen on the day the YOU decide to travel.
