Yes it's all subjective, but who? Not me.

It's trying so hard to be now, but it's not even, it's then, the flight's late! Lame is what I feel and I'd love it to be so much better, especially with all the heritage the airline has. At least they didn't mess with the brand icon.

I will need time to get used to this, I think this could be the only livery that will look bad a on a 777! Is it going on the 777s?

Bring back the bare metal scheme

Thank goodness the bare metal scheme is gone - that, just like AA's - was hideous.

While I understand that AA, for example, has been saying that they're saving a lot of money with the bare metal finish, I just cannot find anything even remotely aesthetically pleasing about the looks of them - they're just plain awful.

Quoting VHVXB (Reply 2):
Bring back the bare metal scheme

I have to agree 100%, although i am not a fan of bare metal schemes
especially AA, Aeromexico was always eye-catching.

As I said in the other thread, if it wasn't the fact it was replacing the eyecatching, well known chrome c/s, then I'd like it. Bad move, AM.

Well I believe it all is coming to an end. Oh well, I guess we are gonna pretend.

Well my friends, most of us in Mexico think the new scheme represents a step backwards. I agree that it was about time for a change, but this livery is just truly disappointing !

We for a minute thought AM could come up with something really new, challenging and trendy. Instead, they just went out there to copy someone else and threw a tradition in handsome looking color schemes overboard.

Things are always changing, but sometimes they dont´go in the right direction !

Best regards

thumbsdown  Ok, it's not really that bad... but it looks too generic. The previous scheme was much better.

Don't expect to see me around that much (if at all) -- the contact link should still work, though.

I think this new livery lacks a bit of personality versus the old one, but this is rather normal feeling for a brand new livery especially if the old one was popular. I find it very clean and modern and looks rather good on this 737. Thankfully there is the red line along the fuselage that saves it from a euro-white looking!

Looks all right to me. The bare metal scheme felt a bit outdated, the new livery is definitely an improvement. It's a bit white-ish though, but as Alphafloor said, the red line saves it from being too dull.

Looks like a US Air copycat.

Colors are wrong.

Doesn't really say "Mexico" to me.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

The only two things I could think of that would have made this better would be:

1) Replace the white with another color...everyone is doing white now
2) Loose the darn aeromexico.com on the engines...I hate seeing that on airplanes these days its so cheap

I don't think it looks that bad. I like the other bare metal more, but I guess this will just take some getting used to.

Please stop putting waves/running lines on fuselages and wrapping tails...: it's like re-vamping an idea of sense of moving established in the 80's-90's. The same mistake BA made with the simplified Union Jack...but at least they managed to use the flag as livery.
How the hell does this livery represent Aeroméxico?
Stilish? ...Not anymore.
Classy? ...like a toothpaste.
Ugly? ...no, not THAT bad, but bOOring.

...and the writing "aeromexico.com" on the engines is very low-cost.

If I think they were one of the fews (AZ and CO) among Skyteam having the chance of keeping distance from the red-blue-light blue-white obsession!

Regards,

V
