Does anyone know the seating arrangement PIA will choose for the new 777's?? Will they go with the 2-5-2, or the 3-3-3?? I would love for them to go with the 3-3-3.

What are the routes?? I'm thinking that JFK/MAN/LHR will be the first foreign airports that see the 777's. I know Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Glasgow, Washington DC are in the pipeline at various stages, and way down the line San Francisco and Newark, NJ will also hopefully become PIA destinations!! This info i received recently from a high ranking PIA official at JFK.

The destination of Lahore in Pakistan is the one airport which provides PIA with most of it's passenger revenue. PIA operate the 743 to Lahore from NY, Manchester and London because at present the 743 is the largest passenger plane they have in the fleet. They operate the older 742's combis to Karachi from the aforementioned cities because Karachi is the cargo hub. So based upon that i would think that the 777 because of it's fewer passenger carrying capacity than the 743 will see Karachi more than Lahore and Islamabad?? i could be totally wrong--because based upon that theory how does operating the 777 into Karachi help them with the cargo?? Unless they convert both AP-BAK and AP-BAT into full freighter aircraft??

Did they choose the inflight entertainment for the 777's??

These were just a bunch of questions i had--any responses will be greatly appreciated.

It would be weird if there's no inflight entertainment for all classes on 777.

I'm just as curious as you to the answers of all these questions but I think it's a bit early. They placed the order in Nov02 so they are probably looking right now at what configuration to fly, where to fly the 777s, inflight entertainment and if they should start new destinations with the 777. The777man,

i agree with what ur saying about the configuration and inflight entertainment, but i'm pretty sure that they had an idea about the destinations before ordering 8 brand new aircraft.

Adding new destinations for an airline is hard work that takes a lot of time, i mean if the delivery of the aircraft is due to start in early 2004 i'm pretty sure it takes more than a year to get new destinations set up--i mean look at Emirates--a world renownwed airline having minor difficulties with getting NY-JFK set up and they are not even waiting for new aircraft!!! I'm pretty sure PK know where they want to fly the 777's but haven't let us in on it "officially".

Thanks for ur feedback anyway
