When President Bush is in Crawford, TX which airport does Air Force One fly to?

I believe Waco, Texas (ACT) or a nearby military instillation.

Around the Crawford ranch, there is a good amount of airspace closed (to GA) and it gets larger when W is in town.

Yeah he will fly to Waco most of the time, he will then usually take a helicopter or his caravan to the ranch. my old psychology teachers husband works at the ranch in his S.S.

Well, a ranch has livestock, which he doesn't own. It's actually a piece of land with a lot of cedar and weeds on it. So, it's really "Bush's Brush".

Air force One flies into TSTC (Texas State Technical College), not KACT.

KCNW "http://www.airnav.com/airport/KCNW" target="_blank">

I have flown over and looked right down at AF 1.

Always, of course, with:

1. A filed flight plan;
2. A discrete transponder code; and
3. In constant communication with ATC.

The Ranch is actually a working ranch with livestock. The cattle that are on it belong to the previous owner of the Prairie Chapel Ranch, as it is called. He leases the right to do that from the President. I have read accounts that George likes to drive his Ford F-250 around and look at the cows as well as go to his favorite hiking, swimming, and picnic spots. I am not sure of the actual acreage figure, but it is quite a large spread of land. As far as his plane, I think it lands at Waco Regional or that old airbase that is there. I have read that for security it is sometimes flown to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City while he is there and then it returns to pick him up when he is ready to head back to D.C. I think it is great to have another Texas President and that he has a nice place in the country is even better.

Once I flew from AUS to CLL in a C172 and heard only 2 aircraft on the frequency; myself and AF1. Kinda cool as it was about midnight.

If he has livestock on the premises, then he can get an agricultural tax exemption in additional homestead exemption on his property taxes.

Read my lips, No New Taxes...Sound familiar?

It does come here to Tinker sometimes ( I posted this in the mil forum a few weeks ago, and there is a link to pictures)

I have also controlled the plane when it lands at Fort Hood, and Gray AAF on some rare occasions.

It doesn't land at Waco Regional. I doubt it even has a runway long enough.

It flies into Texas State Technical College (TSTC) which used to be James Connelly (sp?) AFB

My uncle lives a few miles away and often sees it fly over. I've gone to visit, before, and have seen C-17s doing touch-and-goes. Yes, it was cool.
