PUYALLUP, Wash. -- Two people are dead after a plane crashed into a house in Puyallup this afternoon.
Witnesses reported the plane was trailing smoke when it fell out of the sky.
Ed Troyer of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the plane was an experimental aircraft.
Local fire officials said the plane landed in the backyard of a house just northeast of Thun Field, killing both people on board.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says the plane crashed into a house; but local officials say it landed in a back yard and no one on the ground was injured.
Video from Chopper 7 showed firefighters spraying water over debris in a backyard. Black plastic covered much of the wreckage.
May god bless the victims and their families... |
