Just heard that British prime ministers Tony Blair´s plane got spoiled yesterday when he wanted to go to Spain. Do you know what kind of plane was it? maybe BAe-146 or VC-10. They said he had to take a regular flight, wondering why they hadn´t a spare plane there.

Indeed. She absolutely hated being called "Maggie", so naturally enough everyone in Britain started to refer to her that way...!

Getting back to the topic, i doubt it was a BA 777, short-haul european visits would probably mean a BA A320 or a 146, something along those lines.

Damn straight! She didn't bat an eyelash over all the crap she got about going to war with Argentina over the Falklands. They got their butts kicked and deservedly so! Served them right for taking the islands WHILE Britain was negotiating on turning them over to Argentina, anyway. WHAT were they thinking?

Because flying BRITISH Ariways has more of an impact for the BRITISH PM than flying Virgin, or any of the other carriers..
I guess it could be argued he could fly bmi; but bmi aren't the flag carrier, so that ends that discussion
Im glad he flies BA and Not VS; if you dont have your own VIP aircaft, fly your national flag carrier to make the same impact.
