BWIA has just announced a new non-stop thrice weekly service from Port-of-Spain to Dallas/Ft. Worth utilizing 737-800 equipment. Just kidding  Big grin .

(sorry to get you guys all excited)

Seriously though, there is a BWIA MD-80 parked at the Delta hangar (unfortunately, behind the blast fence). Is there any way one of you guys can find out when this a/c is leaving (obviously it is on some kind of charter assignment) I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

there's a possiblilty the a/c has been sold to someone there.
BWIA no longer operates the MD-83s. Their crew have either been sent home, or upgraded to the 738.

with respect to your joke, once Trinidad regains Cat1 status, BWIA is rumoured to fly to Houston.
who knows.

If it is in BWIA full livery, it would be 9Y-THQ because that is the only one left.

Indeed the rumors of BeeWee servicing IAH has been floating around for several years now. However with BWIA's current financial status I would not expect to see BWIA at IAH anytime soon.

I think that in the new business plan that BWIA plans to start such a service once cat 1 is regain. This is planned for next year. We have to wait and see if Aleong like those IBM ads has some pixe dust to sprinkle and make the airline better.

I am pretty sure it was THQ, it also left DFW though.
