The latest schedule I have says, that one more will be be delivered in October, 2 more in November and another (or perhaps two) in december.
As for the flights to HKG: no idea at all, sorry.

They will start BKK & SIN on 4 Oct ( Friday!). Swiss ran a full page , full colour ad in a local newspaper ( Bangkok Post) yesterday titled "Goodbye MD-11, Hello A340". A beautiful ad, showing pictures of First, Business and Economy. PTV's all 3 classes.
And best of all, an introductory fare of @ US$150 from BKK-SIN return including 2 nights hotel in Singapore!
About HKG, I don't know when it will start.

Hi!
I'm glad SWISS received the 2nd. 343. That must be HB-JMB right? I think now JMC will be almost ready to be delivered, this because on the 3rd. and 11th. October some more routes will be operated by the Airbus! Things are going quite smooth now for SWISS!

CV990, it's indeed HB-JMB. I saw it inside the hangar today. HB-JMC is ready to go at TLS. Guess things are getting better in terms of capacities etc.

Hmmm... Swiss did not do any advertisement on the Singapore papers... yet. But there was an article comparing the different business classes of the main carriers out of Singapore offering flat beds, and Swiss was one of the featured ones.
I'm happy to see a 343 in Singapore...

Glad to know that JMC is already "on track"!!! Things are changing in ZRH right? Less MD11's more and more 343's. I hope when I land there in December at least I can see for the last time the SWISS MD11!
Now I know that SWISS wfu at once 3 MD11's ( HB-IWB/IWD and IWM ), now does this means from now on any new 343 will have a MD11 out? It looks like right? SWISS had 12 MD11's, took 3 and now they have 9, the same number as 343's! So now we have JMA, JMB and soon JMC, does this mean that soon more MD11's will be out?
Finnally any guess what MD11 is gonna be the last to be retired? My guess is HB-IWA, the first!

CV990, so far that's the plan to phase out an MD-11 for each A340 to take over.
HB-JMA is flying to BKK and SIN tonight (LX182, 233 Passengers booked).

Btw, tonight HB-JMB will do LX182 ZRH-BKK-SIN, obviously the first commercial flight of HB-JMB. Does that mean that LX182/183 has permanently been changed to A340?

Yes I know. I just found it remarkable that there were 25+ nonrevs who wanted to take yesterday's flight LX182. I wonder how many of these were aviation buffs who just waited for Swiss to finally send the A340 to BKK/SIN. Two or three nonrevs is average for a flight like this, 25+ is simply too much to be a coincidence.

Non-revvers never "expect" to get a seat, only hope.
As for the large number on the BKK flight, I suspect it had more to do with the Autumn school holidays starting than anything else.

I guess so, too! Tonight, LX182 (HB-JMB, 1st commercial flight) has again 233 Passengers booked - same situation as last night.
I think hard times will come for non-revenue passengers as TG, SQ, MH, etc are full, too!
