Does it drive anyone else crazy when they show a 747 on approach, and then an L-1011 taxies up to the gate? Or a single aisle cabin is depicted and they add that shot of the 747 gear retracting? I could go on but will include my favorite. I caught a rerun of a police show dramatizing a hi-jacking at LAX. The cabin set was the U/D of a 747 and in the aft section where the galley is located (on the -400. Bulkhead on prior models) they had installed a spiral staircase going up into where? The rooftop? A better view perhaps?

Haha, I hate it. One of my particular favs is in Rush Hour 2, they show a wide-body interior, but what appears to be an AS 737 landing....I didnt know AS served HKG OR the 7437 could do that route!

I hate it as well...the last time I went to the movies to with a group of friends to see T3, I was pleased to see the scene with the light GA aircraft at the end...alas...my pleasure turned into outrage when I noticed that the aircraft changed registrations between shots...I started muttering to myself and got some strange looks afterwards when I tried to explain that to my friends...

Sorry, this is "off the track", but it is really bad when sitcoms show a widebody interior shot for a transpacific sector and then they show a 737 landing!

Or it's funny when they depart in a 727 and arrive in an L-1011! Since when does a 727 turn into a L-1011? I mean, sure, they both got three engines...must be a Pokemon thing or something...

I forget exactly what program it was on, but I saw something where they showed the interior of a large widebody jetliner, but then showed a Citation!

"Seinfeld" has done this several times.

For example, How about the episode in which Jerry and Elaine were fighting over who got to sit in FIRST CLASS... only they kept showing WN!

And then the very last episode of the series when they were all supposed to fly to Paris in NBC's private jet. They boarded a Learjet on the ramp, showed a Hawker (800xp maybe?) flying, and the interior had the room and large windows of a Gulfstream!

You gotta love those "technical advisors" for that show. It was still one of funniest shows on TV at the time. KRAMER ROCKS!

 Big thumbs up GG

Psa53,
That is the best plane movie ever! The 707 does sound like a WWII bomber.

Ted747,
Maybe the first cabin configuration gives more room to the director and his crew.

In Anger Management, 767 interior while a 737 from the outside. It all makes movies more exciting  Smile
