Yesterday Ryanair, in a press conference in Glasgow, launched two new routes from Prestwick to:

- Milan Orio Al Serio (BGY)
- Shannon (SNN)

The new route to Shannon will commence on 4th December 2003 and the new route to Milan Bergamo will commence on 7th January 2004.

Timetable:

PIK-SNN FR 732 14.00-15.05 Daily
SNN-PIK FR 733 15.30-16.35 Daily

PIK-BGY FR 742 10.15-13.50 Daily
BGY-PIK FR 743 14.15-15.55 Daily

Both operated with B737/800 from Prestwick base.
Note: both BGY and SNN are FR hubs.

The SNN route will be popular with Celtic fans coming from Ireland to watch Celtic games in Glasgow.

Absolutely nothing to do with the above, except that it is a low-cost story. EZY will be announcing BRS-CPH service from 17th December. Daily 733 operation. Keep an eye open for sales expected to open later this week.

EZY arranged quite a few extra slots at AMS so I'm expecting some new routes out of AMS in the very near future  Big thumbs up

And there is still no expansion plans from Easy for EMA is there?

Easy hasent offerend a new route from the airport for over 16 months.

Same really for bmibaby, who are in turn i have heard somewhere dropping the scottish routes from EMA due to the competition from Easy.

BDrules,
same at Geneva. Not to disappoint you but I was quite deceived last year when they decided to launch GVA-EMA, I would have preferred a sunny destination, obviously this route was launched to counter WW and Mytravel Lite. Wonder when they will launch new routes from EMA and GVA.

Germany!?! That came as a surprise for me. The only possible destination I can think of is Munich as it is the only destination in Germany currently served by Easyjet. And I can't imagine that they will connect CPH with a destination not yet served from the UK!

Billy: You write "soon" - what time frame are you operating with when you use this term  Smile

Billy,

I completely understand - thanks for your reply anyway!

Looking forward to hear further when it's possible for you to divulge what's going on...

Tim,

Have you had the pleasure of travelling to my part of the world??? I came to Geneva last December on EZS and really liked the City even though it is quite expensive. The cheap flight made up for it.

Regards

Stu
