The United Terminal 1 (Concourse A and B) at ORD. It's awesome, with all of the glass and futuristic looking. The underground walkway between Concourse B and C is really cool.

Id say the NW McNamara Terminal at DTW is one of the most beautifiul terminals I have ever been to. Terminal A @ SMF which is largely dominated by SWA is quite nice also.

the Main Terminal at Washington Dulles (IAD)
the Old PanAm in MIA
the Charlottesville-Albemarle - small and quaint (CHO)

My ultimate favorite was the Washington National Airport terminal in the 1970's with all of it's "add-ons" and everything. I am so happy they saved the originals 1940's terminal. They have a very nice little museum in the main terminal where Eastern and Allegheny (USair) used to be.

Terminal 2E at CDG is an architectural masterpiece! PDX terminal is very modern and reflects the surroundings nicely, same goes for YVR. I especially like the intl termianl there. DEN is great as well . Terminal 1 at ORD is cool with the soaring glass, and the new DTW blows the old one out of the water.

In no particular order, of the ones I have been to:
KUL Satellite (opened 1998)...nice and empty!
FLL Terminal 1 (opened 2001)...sea theme
SYD Terminal 3/Qantas Domestic (opened 2001)...T1 is nice but crowded
ATH Terminal (opened 2001)
AMS Terminal (don't know)...amazing shopping
DIA Terminal (1995)

Unfortunately, I haven't really flown much in the US or Europe, mostly in Australia and on the way to and from there.

Historically, I loved the Central Terminal at SFO in the late 1970s.

Nowadays, I will have to say D gates at LAS. Open and airy! Plus , I like the slot machines!!  Smile

NWA- World Gateway DTW.

TWA- Talk about an aviation lovers terminal. All the who's who and all the destinations. (yeah I know) It is empty now.

AMS- SHOPPING.

CDG- Those bubble tubs. The glamour of days gone by.

Just my two or three cents.

Ok i'll try and do a top 5:

1) Hate to be a homer, but #1 has to be McNamara Terminal @ DTW... now that i live out of town when i do ride the red tails back to MI nothing says "Welcome Home" like that gorgeous terminal...
2) Every time in, always friendly, spotless, warm, and inviting: PBI- West Palm Beach
3) The quiet and non-chalant airport, 10 gates strong, in my new (currently, at least) hometown: SAV - Savannah, GA
4) Though I've only been there once, and probably never will be again since i detest US Airways, but it looked like a great airport: PIT- Pittsburgh
5) Newly remodled, but looking like it will soon outgrow itself: MDW - Chicago/Midway Airport

Absolute fave is YVR, especially the international terminal. The domestic terminal is also nice and functional.

Love T2 in MUC, bright and luminous and friendly. Same goes for AMS and CPH.
Also love FRA, if only for their awesome visitor's terrace.

lol yes, those D gates at LAS are quite lovely- much better than the older side of the airport... I ALWAYS win at least $2 on the slots at LAS which is amazing as I dont win much anywhere else in the state!

I like Bradley International at LAX- best plane watching (next to MAN i should think!) its open, spacious, and just a really great place to sit.

STN- not at all like the insane mess of its older brother LHR- a joy to be able to use that is user friendly, compact, and not too crazy.

CPH- Nice, clean design

Now for shopping, yes at AMS its quite easy to forget you are in fact in an airport and NOT a mall  Smile YVR isnt bad either, but I was in a horrible mood going through there and really pissed off they wanted more money out of me just to leave!

Close second to NWA's World Gateway at DTW. Awesome.

The coziest one is at FCA. I just love the furs, guns and cowboy hats on the walls! It's also the cleanest terminal I've ever seen.

However, the coolest one must be (don't know the number, but it's where Southwest parks) at LAS. Great stores and all the slot machines are also fun, but as we all know, very dangerous...  Big grin

Favorite Airline Terminal was Lambert, for TWA. Every where I looked, in back in front, all around me, were TWA aircraft. Boeing 747s, Lockheed L-1011's, Boeing 727s. Loved seeing them take off, one after another.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I haven't been to many terminals.. I just go to the same ones often

My favorites?
PIT (US Airways), large but user friendly with a great Air Mall
CLT(US Airways), clean, well laid out, the centre section with the food courts and the few stores is pretty nice. I love the rocking chairs in front of the glass windows looking out to the tarmac...
LGA US Airways terminal.. especially the Shuttle section. For a LGA terminal it is not too bad...
POS, (Piarco Int'l, Trinidad, BWIA's hub/base) great duty free stores that are available on arrival and departure. Nice, new looking departure lounge by the gate area...

4.Orlando (Airside 4) - see above
5.Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky (Terminal 3) - Easy to connect in, modern for the most part
6.Miyakojima - Excellent small airport, beautiful terminal
7.Knoxville - See above
8.Minneapolis-St.Paul - Same as CVG, just not quite as easy to use
