Given the planned retirement of the 737-200's, and the cost of repairing any affected aircraft, the board of Ryanair have decided that it would not be economically viable to carry out these repairs and any of these aircraft, so affected, will be retired," Ryanair said |

The 'Jaguar' 732 was on the DUB-LBA sector this afternoon, saw it doing what seemed to be a visual approach from Elland Road during the Leeds-Liverppol match. Very steep turn over the ground which isn't on the normal approach. |

Acc. to what heard theyhad some of the 732s at FLS Dublin for heavy checks. A contract company was supposed to paint the planes. Part of the paint job is toremove the fillet sealant at the skin lap joints and to replace it. Some monkeys must have used metal scrapers and box cuttersto cut the sealant and put deep scratches into the skin in this vital area. Very hard and expensive to control and repair. I´ve heard that 3 planes were grounded, pending arguments about who is going to pay for the repair or possible scrapping. |
