Hi everybody,

the current OAG lists several Condor flights as being operated by a Brindabella Airlines, two letter code FQ.

What´s the story behind this, who are Brindabella Arlns anyway? Is this some mistake?

Thanks,

Daniel Smile

FQ is Air Aruba. Maybe you got the April Fools Day edition of the OAG, Daniel?  Smile

According to OAG decodes in Amadeus...

FQ/*** 000 BRINDABELLA AIRLINES

Possibly a dupe with Thomas Cook (being charter, TC has no flights in OAG schedules).

BTW, Brindabella are a small Australian domestic carrier operating from Canberra to Newcastle and Albury, NSW.

It is not uncommon for 2 airlines to share the same 2 letter IATA identifier. You will usually find a smaller airline sharing the code with a cargo airline. However, you often do find 2 passenger airlines sharing the same code, but they will operate in 2 distinct regions, so there won't be confusion.
