A Japanese court has ordered Taiwan's China Airlines to pay $US1.6 million in damages to the family of a man killed in a 1994 crash, which claimed the lives of 263 others passengers. The Court dismissed a damages claim against Airbus. The victim's family said the plane had design flaws which led to the crash at Nagoya Airport. China Airlines flight 140 from Taipei aborted its first landing and was climbing on auto-pilot to make a second attempt at landing.
