Topic: Air Pacific's 73G For CBR And CHC?

During the southern hemisphere winter, Air Pacific will be operating twice weekly flights NAN-CBR and NAN-CHC with a 737-700. Now, I was under the impression FJ's 73G had left the fleet, so where will this aircraft be coming from, especially considering it is only in the schedules from July to October by the look of things?

Cheers,

V/F

That is correct V/F!

The aircraft DQ-FJF never ended up leaving the FJ fleet though it was leased to QF for a while! It will do new Monday flights to AKL/BNE soon which I believe are year round, CHC is seasonal not sure about CBR. Not sure where else it has been flying lately though, it comes to AKL from time to time.

Just browsing through FJ's schedules I can't see any other flights operated by the 73G other than those to CBR, CHC, AKL and BNE, so I really have no idea where it has been lately though it has turned up at AKL a few times.

Both CBR and CHC are seasonal, hopefully they might exceed expectations so they can keep them going.

Cheers for that NBT - yes indeed, CBR is a seasonal flight - lasting up till 10th October according to FJ's online schedules. It will be interesting to see how they do with this, whether it becomes more than just seasonal, and whether other airlines will consequently consider international flights ex-CBR...

I wish Id see FJ's 73Gs at SFO. That would be so cool. It is a pipe dream I know, but still, it would be pretty cool.
