Just browsing flight tracker this morning and noticed that 304 was a 717 this morning. It had been a 737 since last wed. They must be flying it elsewhere in the system. The 2nd 737 should show up this week. I think 2 more are coming next month.

I believe Ship 300 is still being used for training of both pilots and ground crews. The second 737 is due on June 29th. None are to be delivered in July but two in August.

Are there any more 717s coming this year?

Three more new 717s will be delivered in 2004. The Ryan A320s will start leaving AirTran service in September and should be gone be October.

They need to speed up deliveries and stop having to mess with Ryan and Miami Air. My bet is that since the jet connect planes are going away, they need the lift. Otherwise, the first 2 737s would be put on LAS or LAX duty immediately.

Will even bring them back with B737 on their way to DEN again?

Here is the schedule for the next few weeks until the official first day of service for the 737.

June 17 - 20 ATL-DEN-ATL flights 303/304

June 21 - 26 ATL-MEM-ATL-DEN-ATL flights 1721/524 and 305/306

June 27 ATL-MEM-ATL-TPA-ATL flights 1721/524 and 137/138

June 28 ATL-MEM-ATL-DEN-ATL 1721/524 305/306

June 29 ATL-LAS-ATL flight 7/8

June 30 ATL-DEN-ATL-DEN flight 303/304/301 and from what I can see this will be the first time it doesnt spend the night in ATL or MCO.

July 1 start the scheduled flights on the 737 and the previous flights that had been 717 go back to 717.
