I was scanning through the Farnborough Website last night and noticed that Boeing is not displaying any of it's triple 7 models. I would have thought that the airshow would have been an excellent opportunity to display the latest -the 777-300ER, as I think it outshines it's direct competitor the A340-500/500 model in every respect, a remarkable achievement given the absence of massive state subsidies afforded Airbus!

The two 777-300ERs which they demonstrated and tested last year are now delivered to JAL, all 484 777s built including the prototype are now in service with airlines. I guess it makes more money selling the plane to an airline then keeping it to show around while their likely customers already know how it looks like.

Too expensive I imagine.
And while getting a follow on with EK for some more birds, it will likely be embarrassing to have it sitting there when VS goes for the 340-600.....(which I hope doesn't happen).
