| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Type-rated Posted 2004-07-24 07:51:05 and read 2706 times. I quite like the look of it. What is that susposed to be on the tail? It looks like a bit of a "bubbly" design. Well, people DO go scuba diving in the Bahamas.... | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Jean leloup Posted 2004-07-24 07:57:08 and read 2699 times. Terribly underwhelming, especially compared with some more colourful Caribbean airlines like JM. Though your comment was probably in jest, I suppose budget/time restrictions may very well play a role in the increased prevalence of all-white colour schemes! | ||||

| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: MIASkies Posted 2004-07-24 08:43:13 and read 2663 times. Sorry to burst your bubble guys..but those pics are fakes. Bahamasair does not have the scheme on their planes.....it obviously is a fake!~ | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Fokker50 Posted 2004-07-24 16:52:08 and read 2564 times. Even if this c/s is a fake or is true is disgusting. In think is the most embarrassing c/s that an airline could have. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: DB777 Posted 2004-07-24 17:18:41 and read 2539 times. MIASkies: the photos are not fakes. I don't have the time or inclination to create fake photos when I'm buried in legit photo work. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Chepos Posted 2004-07-24 17:53:01 and read 2505 times. That is one of the worst attempts to try and create a new c/s, what is that thing on the tail ? | ||||

| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Boeing nut Posted 2004-07-24 18:06:29 and read 2482 times. Regardless if it's a fantasy livery or real, this is one of the least creative things I have ever seen. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Northwest717 Posted 2004-07-24 18:18:08 and read 2467 times. Well, guys leave whoever did it alone. They tried. I personally don't like it, but look close. They were on the right track. It just looks like it isn't finished. Yes, it does look bland, but if it had been finished up with a couple colorful stripes/swooshes, I'm sure it would have looked wonderful. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Falcon Flyer Posted 2004-07-24 18:18:50 and read 2470 times. Those pictures are not fake. The aircraft was on the Commercial Jet ramp at MIA all last week and was having a C6 registration applied last Thursday. The design may just be a one off but appears to be in line with a promotional campaign. There's a billboard in Broward County on I-95 with a similar design promoting the island. | ||||

| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: SegmentKing Posted 2004-07-24 18:55:45 and read 2423 times. the scheme on the tail is the new logo from the Ministry of Tourism.. When I sat on the Out Island Promotion Board I expressed how ugly it is (www.bahamas.com) compared to the old logo (http://www.boipb.com). | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Islandboy Posted 2004-07-24 20:20:31 and read 2354 times. Both Falconair and Segment King are right. The scheme is a promotion of the new logo for the Ministry of Tourism. Not to worry it probably will only be for a few months. If u as me they should keep the engines that colour, and paint the fuselage in regular bahamasair colours; with a picture representing each island. Ex: Eleuthera - Pineapple, Andros - Crab, Inagua - Flamingoes etc.... | ||||

I'd rather see this than that old hunk of shit livery they had flying around with a bunch of green stripes. Looked like Zip. | ||||

| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: PanAm330 Posted 2004-07-26 20:18:03 and read 1672 times. Apparently, this scheme is not too widely liked here on the board. I myself, happen to like it. It looks refreshing; an image-booster to make the airline look younger, if you will. The Bahamas is an excellent location for Spring Breakers, and the airline wants to market itself to a younger audience. It's fitting. To me, it looks more "tropical" than the old, bland, "1970s Yellow" livery. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: SegmentKing Posted 2004-07-26 23:23:02 and read 1598 times. if anyone learns to read, it has already been stated that the logo on the tail is that of the MINISTRY OF TOURISM & its a promo livery, such as the Grand Bahama Island livery on Continental Connection's Beech 1900D. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: BWIA 772 Posted 2004-07-26 23:52:13 and read 1585 times. Well now we have a liveries that cover the whole spectrum. At one end we have BWIA and at the other we have this new Bahamasair livery. I say that BWIA is best Bahamasair right now and the old livery is worst but others may say vice versa. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: WestIndian425 Posted 2004-07-27 02:56:27 and read 1546 times. Well, I must say that it certainly contrasts with some of the other Caribbean carriers that have much more color (BWIA, Air Jamaica, Caribbean Star, LIAT, etc.). But since it's only temporary, in that it's to promote the Ministry of Tourism, most of you fellow a.netters won't have to "suffer" long. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: OB1504 Posted 2004-07-27 03:03:28 and read 1538 times. I think it looks good. Stylish, with the font and the modern bubble design, and there's something about those blue engines. But when given a choice between this livery and the current Bahamasair one, I'd say go with the Aquamarine, Gold, and Black! | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: DB777 Posted 2004-07-27 05:11:11 and read 1488 times. I received a private e-mail from a gent who was involved in the design and below are excerpts from what he told me: | ||||

| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: AWspicious Posted 2004-07-27 13:42:47 and read 1415 times. I don't believe the bahamasair (promotional) livery is that bad. Although, I do like the current livery. ![]() Photo © Rob Rindt - SPOT THIS! Personally, I feel the BWIA livery is a bit much. I prefer the idea on the second A340-300 with their new logo on the tail. If only they painted the engine cowlings in the same pattern as the tail, I think they'd have a hit. | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Caymanair Posted 2004-07-27 19:28:31 and read 1360 times. the tail looks great, and if the dbody was more colorful it would be a hit. | ||||

| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: Caymanair Posted 2004-07-28 22:27:08 and read 1143 times. LOL. I actually love Bwees full livery. the type of interim one they have on the second 340 looks disgusting | ||||
| Topic: RE: Bahamasair New Scheme Username: TransIsland Posted 2004-07-28 23:51:19 and read 1114 times. Personally, I think it's the first BEARABLE livery that Bahamasair has ever had. Room for improvement, but much better than the orange/green (sorry, "yellow"/"aquamarine") liveries of the past 3 decades. | ||||
