There was a Yugoslav airline before the civil war called Aviogenex which operated charters for the tour operator Yugotours, to bring tourists from Northern Europe to Yugoslavia back in the late 1980's. |

I'm sure they are still operating but they do more leasing work now than charter work. They haven't had a fleet update in quite a while though. They are still operating 727-200 and 737-200. |

Some of their equipment was a bit tatty but the crew were fun and the pax enjoyed the ethnic experience. |

Don't remember many specifics other than that we flew an old dirty TU-134. On the return to Oslo, the cabin filled with black smoke, so the we taxied back to the terminal and waited 8 hours for a replacement aircraft. Good thing we were still on the ground when it happened. |
