There was a post earlier in the week saying that BA were having a few problems with their TPA service this week (not exactly sure of the reasons why). This lead to an Air Luxor A330 flying the LGW-TPA service for BA on a couple days. The 763 may be another hangover from the problem a few days ago. |

The US are now insisting that all UK based crew now visit the US Embassy in for anLondon for every visa application INCLUDING renewals and this means BA have to lose each crew member for a day at renewal time. This doesn't seem much when you consider that a C1/D visa is valid for 5 years, but added up is a considerable waste of resources for the 8000+ long haul cabin crew (plus the flight crew...). My "interview" , on what I was told was a quiet day, lasted all of 3 minutes and consisted of an admin clerk looking through the application form and merely saying "mmm, mmmm, mmm", my appointment time was 0845 and I was seen at 1150. |
