Just checked Flytecomm and saw BA2167 is a 767-300. Anyone know if this is a charter??

There was a post earlier in the week saying that BA were having a few problems with their TPA service this week (not exactly sure of the reasons why). This lead to an Air Luxor A330 flying the LGW-TPA service for BA on a couple days. The 763 may be another hangover from the problem a few days ago.

Probably due to the BA crewing/US Visa problem. they have cancelled quite a few of their long hauls for the coming week

Well folks, looks like Euro Atlantic's 767-300 will be back in Tampa today. This according to flytecomm.com. Maybe someone can get some good pictures.

ANstar, could you elaborate please, or could someone point out a thread where this is being mentioned? I am curious as to why BA is having problems and didn't see a thread on it.

I imagine it's either the all-white one with small Euro Atlantic stickers or the one with a Varig tail.

Finnari has received info from BA that LGW-TPA will be operated by Euro Atlantic until 14feb. Shame it´s not a TriStar they are using.

What crew visa problems is BA having that is causing problems with the LGW-TPA flights?

The US are now insisting that all UK based crew now visit the US Embassy in for anLondon for every visa application INCLUDING renewals and this means BA have to lose each crew member for a day at renewal time. This doesn't seem much when you consider that a C1/D visa is valid for 5 years, but added up is a considerable waste of resources for the 8000+ long haul cabin crew (plus the flight crew...). My "interview" , on what I was told was a quiet day, lasted all of 3 minutes and consisted of an admin clerk looking through the application form and merely saying "mmm, mmmm, mmm", my appointment time was 0845 and I was seen at 1150.

You may all think that BA and other carriers should have planned for this, but no company can plan for an overnight change in visa processing times and return of the passport with new visa to the crew member.....it used to be 2-3 DAYS now it is 2-3 WEEKS. BA (and I am sure other carriers have too) are now paying for crew to have a second passport to enable them to work all the non US routes on the network during the waiting period for the original passport/new visa.

It's CS-TLM and should be operating for BA to Tampa until Saturday 12th, apart from Wednesday when it should show up at Orlando.

This substitution is because the 3 LGW based 2 class 777s (J & M) are in the process of being reconfigured to 3 class layout (J,W & M) i.e. old cradle seats to new flat beds and new WT+ cabin. One aircraft currently being worked on.

US visas still an issue though for the other cancellations.
