Now that I am seeing so many sales of the 737 NG, in addition with this new one today of the Indian Airline, how are the sales of both 737NG and A32X doing in comparison? Is boeing having a better sales performance than Airbus?

total orders per manufacturer website
737-600 73
737-700/BBJ 1057
737-800/BBJ 1233
737-900 55
Total 2418

A318 61
A319 1035
A320 1877
A321 416
total 3389

but don't forget the Airbi had almost a decade more time to get those sales.

They flip-flop on roughly two year intervals. 2004 wraps up one of the best A320 sales years ever, and some very embarrasing defeats for Boeing.... likewise no LCC would consider the A320 from 1999-2002. Maybe 2005 will be Boeing's year again...

The two aircraft are very closely matched in performance terms which allows for such "up and down" sales years.

Boeing launched the NG series in 1993 with a large order from WN. That fact that they launched it 9 years after the launch of the A320 (1984?) series speaks volumes about its success.

It does seem that Boeing is getting more aggressive. The Air Berlin loss was a disaster for them and they fired Toby Bright after that fiasco. They seem to be having a good year so far. The JAL order was a must win, and they just announced a 10+10 order from Spice Airlines in India today.

Are there any other airlines looking to place large orders for these aircraft?

When doing the comparison between Boeing 737NG and Airbus 32X, you have to be careful. Airbus did not have a decade to get those orders for its family. Their family was not complete until the 318 was introduced in Jul 2003.

For reference see following in service dates:
Airbus 320 - Apr 1988.
Airbus 321 - Jan 1994
Airbus 319 - Apr 1996
Boeing 737 - Dec 1997
Boeing 738 - Apr 1998
Boeing 736 - Aug 1998
Boeing 739 - May 2001
Airbus 318 - Jul 2003

The best comparison is probably on orders for each model following its competitors in service date. I think the numbers will be very close, except on the 318, which is negative!

And the 737-600. Both are just too damn heavy and the airlines would rather fly 6-8 RJ flights vs. 3-4 736/318 flights into the markets where those would be profitable due to higher short haul yield.
