Yes, I can confirm this too and was about to post a message about it.

Flew non-RVSM using reg as callsign 'FWSEA'.

Anyone know the reason for the flight ? What's it gone to JNB for?

Cheers,

Rob K  Wink

F-GTUI (formerly N186UA) is still in Mobile Alabama awaiting flight test and final FAA certification.

N191UA is sitting at Schipol wait for parts and certification go-ahead based on the approval of F-GTUI.

So when this one is done, its gonna be a 550+ seat cattle car like the other ones, right? eeeehheeeehh. Sorry, I just got a shiver up my spine just thinking about that massacre.

Does someone know which company will do the job in South Africa ?
I know for this one (F-HSEA) , competition for outfitting was between this South African company and IAI in Tel Aviv.
Do not know why this South African company has won the contract.
Either it is cheaper , or it's a matter of slot time.

Tod

Among the ex UA planes you mention , one is wrong , as SS has bought "only" six airframes.
Could you keep us informed as soon as you know the delivery date for F-GTUI.
Many thanks

Nlspot2004

How is F-HSEX ? Full UA cs ?

Northwest777

I never heard any passenger complains about the confort of the seating in the 747-300s (580 seats).
Do not forget SS is a charter airline and prices are quite low.

That was the list I did my engineering to.
I would not dare venture a guess as to which of these aircraft have actually been "purchased" to date. Defining "purchased" in the modern world gets pretty grey and I'll have to leave that to the lawyers.

I'll be glad to, sure wish I knew right now. Less than two weeks maybe.

FCKC ,

I heard there was a Corsair 744 at JNB yesterday but since I don't have any ramp access I can't get anything a.net worthy I am afraid.

What I meant was , do you have any information on when it will be leaving JNB for ORY? The dates and times?

SA006,

The aircraft should be in JNB for almost a couple of month, so you will have enough time to see it.
Cheers...

A full reconfig and a D check will tough to do in less than two months.

The lead time for getting D check parts to JNB will probably drive the schedule.

I guess Nlspot2004 gave the wrong link. The link indeed shows the 727, funny though Big grin

Does anyone know when the Corsair 744s will be leaving AMS wearing the new TUI full colourscheme? I also would like to catch these birds on camera  bouncy

A couple months at best. The reconfiguration part of the mod cannot start until the STC is issued for F-GTUI sitting in Mobile.
