Quoting Leviticus (Thread starter):

This is very sick.

yes..its an infectious disease..but its something which can be taken care of, and not easily spread, unlike some other diseases....

they are probably going to do a whole "cleandown" of the aircraft..especially the waste facilities....but nothing to be too alarmed about..

It's a very nice important detail KLM is giving to their passengers and crew. Good to see them taking care of everyone.

Nice done KLM!

KLM havs warned 237 passengers, on a flight from New Delhi to Amsterdam on Sunday, of which a large number transferred at Amsterdam and flew on to destinations in the US with NorthWest.
KLM and NW warned them to undergo medical tests due to the slight chance they have been infected with cholera.
A boy on the plane was found to have developed symptoms of cholera. Cholera is spread by contaminated water and food.

They have done this before, with a suspected SARS case. Just in case of course, and it gives people a (false) sense of security when they know your airline is concerned about your health.
KLM Emergency Management considers these cases a good try-out for when something serious happens, BTW.
