On Thursday (6/23) Jazz flight 7091 BDL-YYZ was operated with a CRJ-705 (C-FCJZ, Fin 703). Was this just a one-off? The flight number seems to be outside the normal Jazz range - 7700 and higher.

This is a delivery flight. The 2 other 705s did this as well. I've read that the formal delivery to the lessor is completed at BDL then flown to YYZ/YXU for handover to Jazz.

What sort of operation does Jazz have at YXU, that they would take delievery of planes there. Is there an MX or training base there, or something? Former Air Ontario base?

Just a one-off. The BDL-YYZ market is a mix of Beech 1900's and DH1's. The CR7 is too big.

CR7 sked service from YYZ begins on Fri July 1st with an early evening departure to EWR. By end of July, YYZ-EWR will be 4 daily CR7.

London (YXU) is a CRJ heavy maintenance base, for both Jazz and AC, and is responsible for the pre-service work on new CRJ's entering the fleet. Fin 703 and 704 are however having this work completed in YYZ.

The actual first service was scheduled to be on June 30th operating YYZ-IAH to overnight there, returning on July 1 - however, unless things have changed since yesterday afternoon, C-FCJZ was going to sub for a CRJ200 down to IAH and back this afternoon (Jun 25th)

The routings are Montreal-Burlington-Hartford under the control of Bombardier, then ownership is transferred in Hartford, and departs there as a Jazz ferry flight.

Thanks Chris, Jean, Neil and CGOJZ. Interesting information. Instead of starting another thread, perhaps one of you can tell me what An EMB-175 in Embraer house colours is doing at YYZ.

It's on its way home from the Paris Air Show. Will stay with AC for 2 weeks or so.

And while we're shifting subjects here...

Is AC still planning to take delivery of the first 175's in July (which is coming quickly!)? A while ago I saw them in the schedule for YYZ-YUL in late July, but I don't know whether that has been pushed back, or what. Obviously we've been hearing more about the -705's, but it would be nice to have both models in service this summer.

Do the CRJ 705s have PTVs yet?

I do'nt believe any planes will be getting PTV's until the fall. While AC has made a big deal of the fact that the entire mainline fleet and the QK -705's will be getting them, I don't believe the contractor to actually install them has even been selected at this point. I think they want to wait 'til after summer when they can spare having a few planes out of service for the installations at a time.

2 Emb175's are due in July. In fact Embraer sent one up to YYZ for gate checks and familiarization for mtce and crews a few days ago. The also had an employee walk thru on Friday aft. I was hoping to see some pics here from that, but no luck yet.

There are lots of pics of this plane on A.net from the Paris show. Just search on PP-XJG

Thanks, I have seen those pics, but I was led to believe that the 175 in YYZ the last few days had the new AC interior. Perhaps I'm mistaken.
