Sorry for such a stupid question but I was roaming about the forums today and I saw that AA is going to operate the ORD-PVG route with the new new 777's they were taking delivery I believe 1Q 2006. I was just wondering if those 777's were going to be the Atlantic or Pacific Configuration. Does anybody know the answer to this question? Thank you in advance!!

They will be whatever aircraft is rotated in that day. AA does not differentiate between 777s to saves costs. Getting a 77P or 77A is luck of the draw unless you are flying MIA-EZE, MIA-GRU, or JFK-GRU, which get only 77As. The new 777s will be in the 77A configuration, and eventually all the 77Ps will be too, but that doesn't mean these two planes will only fly between O'Hare and Shanghai. They will fly everywhere.

I think his primary question is - how will the new 777's being delivered be configured? If so, the answer is most likely in the "Atlantic" configuration as all AA 777's are being reconfigured to this config.

I know that all aircraft are having their business and economy sections standardized in order to allow the different aircraft to move around the system with ease. But are all the coffin seats being replaced with Flagship Suites? I have heard that they are being replaced but i have also heard that the planes are only being standardized in business and economy. Can anyone provide accurate, non-speculative information on this?

All the 777s will eventually get the Flagship suites once AA is in better financial states.

Which AA 777s are configured in the Atlantic layout, and which in the Pacific one? Also, what is the exact seating configurations for these two layouts?

Thank you MAH. I can always count on you for an answer. As a follow-up, have any additional aircraft gotten the Flagship Suites yet? Or are they still only in the aircraft that were delievered with them?

Actually when the MRTC is being taken out, which for the 777's I believe is April of next year is not? Is when the Flagship Suites will once again be put in the 777 aircraft. Also I would believe the new 777's will be getting the Flagship Suite.
