Ever notice that the A340's engine nacelle is somehow shaped differently from other airliners. I mean it just looks smaller and somewhat nicer than a 747 or even worse, A Boeing 777 (with such big nacelles) Pardon me for saying this.

A340s (current models) use CFM56 turbofans, which are the same general type as what 737s use. B747s and B777s use much larger engines.

In fact, B777s engines are the biggest aero engines ever built. No wonder they have NIG nacelles. Especially the B777-300s...

The 777 engine is not as big as the SR-71 those are huge. Were you meaning airliners or airplanes.

I saw the SR 71 and those are 10 + feet long. And another thing what are we measuring on?

I thought we were measuring the diameter of nacelles...

Alss, 777 has the most powerful aero engines, isn't it right?

Yeah, at 94,000 + lbs of thrust for some versions, one puts out more than 3 DC-9's strung together

B737s use slightly different models of the CFM 56. That's what I found out.
