This 767-300 set down at Bangor yesterday, before heading down to Boston. My guess is weather was the cause. Boston was being pounded by thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and my theory is that the crew...seeing things no better down in New York...opted for Bangor. Can anyone out there verify the situation?

Well, thanks to a member on my BGR Yahoo site, here's the story:
"This flight never came into BGR last night. They must have just flight planned BGR as an alternate because of the east coast weather. However, we did receive an American MD-82 bound for BOS around 2030 and a Centurion Cargo DC-10-30F around 1930 bound for Mexico City!! After midnight we had the Trancinda Corp. BBJ1 as well as an outbound WOA MD-11 around 0400."
Interesting that the AA MD-82 had to go all the way up to Bangor for its alternate!!! The flight was probably inbound from ORD or DFW.
