Topic: RE: Continental Md-80's Username: ContinentalEWR Posted 2000-05-27 16:46:04 and read 712 times.As far as I know, all 66 MD80's (including 2 or 3
MD82's) in the Continental Airlines fleet are all
steam.
A number of MD80's were ordered by the carrier
directly from the manufacturer in the early 80's.
The remaining ones were acquired when Texas
Air Corporation merged Continental with Frontier,
Texas Air, New York Air, and People Express.
Frontier was an MD80 operator. New York Air
had several in its fleet as well.
