I know United has had it's troubles with bankrupcy and possible strikes , etc. But I feel like every thime I'm on this board there is another issue with UA. Either , clipping wings with other planes , or a 747 on it's tail and so on. Do you think they are singled out or do they just have so many more problems then others?

Every airline gets their time in the limelight, no matter if it's good or bad. It's just United's turn right now. C'est la vie.  Big grin

Well NW holds the record for the a/c incidents this year, so UA is off the hook there.  Smile  Smile

I've noticed this too...I think people love to jump on the band wagon and bash UA when they're down. It seems as though once they have ANY kind of negative news people jump all over it. Sadly, people just love to hate United.  Sad

It's cause they're all jealous that their own carrier isn't the #2!

Aw poo! UA customer service is generally great! Granted there are a couple of sour apples out there, but its the same for anyone. Whats the basis of my opinion? Well, anytime I have simply asked for E+ I have been given it w/out charge, even before I made premier. When I checked in a slightly oversized box, the agent let it go without charge. Every time I check in I am greeted with a smile and sent away with a "have a great day!" And the res agents have come through for me in a couple last minute pinches without finding me the highest fare.

Go UA!

Yeah they do...usually from people who either don't know what they're talking about or are trying to be "cool" by jumping on the more popular side of the argument. Either way, they have been wrong with everything that's happened in UA's Chap 11, so I don't give them much credit.

Let's see how long this one takes to get moved to Polls & Prefs (all the other positive UA threads do...).

Agreed. UA being my hometown airline for quite a while (when I lived in Chicago), I have noticed that their customer service is generally excellent, even now. Granted, there are a few isolated incidents, but no airline can make everyone happy. Plus, when you are as big and travel to as many places as UA is, you will notice more complaints and, unfortunately, more news coverage than you would about, say, TZ or HP.

Go UA!

I second that.
